A magnificent amethyst specimen from the Goboboseb Mountains in Namibia for the discerning customer. A specimen without compromise. Rich purple color with a zonal phantom structure, striking composition on a volcanic base, perfect crystal termination, and a sceptre-like habit. The uniqueness of the specimen is complemented by moving gas-fluid inclusions (yes, small bubbles) that dance between the negative crystal faces inside the crystal when the specimen is tilted. Also noteworthy are the brownish zones inside the amethyst, which were created by fluctuating iron content during crystal growth.
