Calcite

A remarkably large calcite twin from the Bor quarry in Dalnegorsk, Russia. Many Dalnegorsk deposits have been famous in the past for their beautiful twin growths of this mineral. This specimen is a prime example of a clearly defined twin. Its transparency and luster add even greater value. The icing on the cake is the unusual growths of another calcite generation, which are evident on the crystal surfaces.
