An exceptionally interesting collector’s specimen of copper pseudomorphosis after cuprite from Rubtsovsk, Russia. A fascinating specimen in which the original mineral cuprite has been replaced by fine crystals of pure copper while retaining the original crystal shape of cuprite. The specimen dates from 2010-2011; the locality has now been mined and reclaimed.
