An exceptionally interesting collector’s item: a specimen of copper pseudomorphosis after cuprite from Rubcovsk, Russia, in which the original cuprite mineral has been replaced in every detail by fine crystals of pure copper while retaining the original crystal shape of the cuprite. The specimen dates from 2010-2011; the locality has now been mined and reclaimed.
