Titanite

Titanite is a typical mineral of alpine paragenesis. This specimen comes from the alpine veins of the now abandoned Dodo deposit in the Subpolar Urals on the northern border of Europe and Asia in Russia. Here, titanite and light calcite form a contrasting combination growing on light gray crystalline schist.
