A historical ferberite specimen from the long-defunct Kazakh site of Kara Oba, likely dating from the first half of the 1990s. This site never yielded large quantities of specimens, but whenever a find was made here, it was always worth the effort. Similar ferberite specimens are considered classics from this area and have always attracted great interest from collectors. This specimen is notable for its remarkable state of preservation. The ferberite is complemented by well-developed smithsonite crystals of two generations, and small clusters of pyrite enhance the beauty of the entire specimen.
