A specimen from a unique discovery made in the spring of 1998 at Mine No. 31 in Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan. Many of the specimens found at that time are among the finest examples of betekhtinite in the world and adorn world-renowned museums. The specimens have undergone numerous analyses, which have confirmed their chemical composition. A cluster of velvety black, robust betechtinite needles is accompanied by a contrasting calcite crystal.
