Axinite

A superb specimen of exceptionally sharp and brilliant axinite crystals from the Pujva site in the Russian Subpolar Urals. The first discoveries of axinite at Pujva in 1991 completely transformed the global collecting community’s understanding of this mineral. The quality of the specimens found at that time, thanks to the size and transparency of the axinite crystals, radically surpassed the quality of specimens found up to that point. It was truly a groundbreaking discovery of this collector’s item among alpine minerals. Thanks to the size and quality of the crystals, this specimen is a more than worthy representative of this find.
