Smoky Quartz

Although quartz is a relatively common mineral on a global scale, all of its varieties are quite rare at the mineralogical sites in Mogok, Myanmar, and the surrounding area. The only occasional source of quartz specimens is the pegmatite veins in Sakangyi, from which this smoky quartz crystal also originates. An interesting feature is its scepter-like habit.
