Diopside

Although diopside specimens from the Mogok locality in Burma are not among the most attractive that this deposit has to offer, every expert collector will appreciate the size and luster of these exceptional specimens. Diopside is a rock-forming mineral from the pyroxene group, which occurs mostly in basic rocks in the form of small grains that are difficult to see with the naked eye. Similarly well-developed crystals are a collector’s rarity.
