Spinel twin of galena on a small white quartz base from the 2nd Soviet mine in Dalnegorsk, Russia. This locality readily provides remarkable specimens of crystallographic peculiarities, and the local twin intergrowths of galena crystals according to the spinel law are well known. This specimen is a fine example of this phenomenon due to its composition and the luster of the crystals. The morphological relief is aesthetically enhanced by small calcite crystals growing on it.
