Marshite

Between 2009 and 2012, the Rubtsovsk site in Russia shocked the world with extraordinary finds of cuprite and copper specimens. In addition, the site yielded unique accompanying minerals – silver and copper iodides and crystallized pure silver. This specimen is a rare example of marshite silver iodide (CuI), which was one of the most sought-after systematic minerals from this site. The Rubcovsk site is now completely mined out and reclaimed.
