An exceptionally interesting collector’s specimen of copper pseudomorphosis after cuprite from Rubtsovsk, Russia. A fascinating specimen in which the original octahedral cuprite crystal has been replaced by fine crystals of pure copper while retaining the original crystal shape of the cuprite. The specimen dates from 2010-2011; the locality has now been mined and reclaimed.
