Rutile

This rutile specimen comes from the Kapyldžik locality on the Azerbaijani border with Armenia. Due to the political situation, this is a difficult and even dangerous location, where mining took place briefly in the mid-1990s amid the military presence of both hostile armies. For various reasons related to the complexity of the entire mining activity, these specimens have rarely appeared on the market until now. Typical metallic shiny rutile crystals grow in densely attractive compositions on rusty quartz crystals. This picturesque small specimen of two shiny crystals hanging in space with an attractive composition is no exception.
