Topaz

A perfect free-standing topaz crystal from the Pantaw site in Burma, near Mogok, with high luster, remarkable clarity, and a perfectly sharp crystal shape. Of particular interest are the negative impressions of feldspar crystals on the vertical surfaces of the specimen, which enhance its beauty in the form of natural engravings. The specimen also contains two other minerals: a white albite feldspar crystal growing on its upper part, and, in the lower section, two clearly visible needle-like rust-brown inclusions of the mineral columbite just below the crystal’s surface.
